Capacity Building
A major aspect of the work of the TFFS agencies is their collaborative efforts in the field of training and capacity building to foster the implementation of, and adherence to, international statistical standards.
The Commonwealth Secretariat (ComSec) and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) also conduct comprehensive capacity building activities in the countries in which their software—Commonwealth Secretariat Debt Recording and Management System (CS-DRMS) and Debt Management and Financial Analysis System (DMFAS), respectively—are installed. Together, their systems have been used by over 120 countries.
Not only is comprehensive support provided in implementation of their applications, training, database development and reporting, but these organizations also incorporate the latest international standards, such as the External Debt Guide and the DQAF, in their applications and support countries in implementing these standards.
